EVALUATION OF SHELL FORMULA DIESEL TREATED
WITH FTC COMBUSTION CATALYST

The oil industry has acknowledged that diesel engine performance can be improved by fuel additives. New diesel formulations are often marketed by some of the major companies.

Fuel Technology currently treats fuel with FTC Combustion Catalysts at many Australian mining operations. In each case carefully engineered tests have demonstrated the economic gains from using FTC treated fuel. There are millions of hours of experience behind this additive.

A series of fuel evaluations at Curtin University of Technology in which the performance of standard diesel with Shell Formula and diesel treated with FTC were conducted, demonstrating measurable fuel efficiencies following FTC treatment of fuel.

The attached graphs show fuel consumption and power comparisons. They first compare a standard diesel with the "Shell Formula Diesel". Then the third performance curve showing the lowest rate of fuel consumption, demonstrates that diesel treated with FTC performs even better than the Shell formulation.
